NADSA News November 2006 NADSA Recognizes Award Winners at Annual Meeting During the Annual Education Program in San Francisco, Jed Johnson, assistant vice president of adult and senior services at Easter Seals, received NADSA's Ruth Von Behren Award for his work to enhance Easter Seals adult day services program nationwide. Nora Gibson from ElderHeath Northwest in Seattle, Wash. received an honorable mention for her work to promote adult day services. Arnold Eppel received NADSA's Media Award for his work with The Baltimore Sun on the "Caring For Mom and Dad" project. This project, which included a Web site and CD-rom about long-term care options, prominently displayed adult day services. The CD-rom distributed in a Sunday edition of the newspaper to increase public awareness of ADS. The Baltimore Sun with an honorable mention for the publication's partnership with Eppel in this program. |
