NADSA Selects 2006 Board of Directors
WASHINGTON, DC - The National Adult Day Services Association (NADSA) recently selected 16 leaders in the adult day services field to serve as members of the association's board of directors.
NADSA's board of directors is responsible for governing the association, providing strategic direction, fiduciary oversight and developing new policies and programs. These individuals, who represent adult day services providers from across the country, serve a two-year term.
Merle Griff of SARAH Adult Day Center in Canton, Ohio will serve as chair of the board. The following individuals will join Griff as board members:
Linda Alexander-Lieblang - Alzheimer's Association of Los Angeles, Los Angeles, Calif.
Howard Bedlin - National Council on Aging, Washington, D.C.
Judith Bellome - VNA and Hospice of Douglas County, Lawrence, KS.
Diana Brown - N.E.W. Curative Rehabilitation Adult Services, Green Bay, Wisc.
Jennifer Dexter - Easter Seals, Washington, D.C.
Lisa Gables - American Society of Consultant Pharmacists Foundation, Alexandria, Va.
Jane Harkey - Horizon Adult Day Health Center, Toms River, N.J.
Marilyn Hartle - Jentle Harts Consulting, Indianapolis, Ind.
Ruth Hubbard - The Center, Inc. Adult Day Health, Baton Rouge, La.
Chris Lecher-Powers - C.L. Powers Inc, Largo, Fla.
Roberta Merkel - Cornerstone Adult Services, Inc., Warwick, R.I.
Beth Meyer Arnold - Luther Manor Adult Day Services, Wauwatosa, Wisc.
Annemarie O'Hearn - Jewish Guild for the Blind, Boston, Mass.
Cynthia Saverino - Interfaith Community Care, Surprise, Ariz.
Joyce Walls - Active Services Corporation, Florence, S.C.
"The board of directors consists of individuals committed to representing NADSA members' interests among our nation's consumers, policymakers and members of the media." Griff said. "Under their leadership, the value of adult day services will continue to grow in our society."
