Dear NADSA Conference Committee:

I wanted to take the time to thank you for this wonderful conference. This is the first National ADS conference I have attended and I must admit initially I was not very excited about attending. I thought most of the sessions would be more policy based and above the center level. I was not very excited about this at all.

I wanted to take the time in a personal way to tell you how much of an impact this conference had on me. Friday’s sessions bon Appétit, Creative Music and Art Programs and Person-Centered End of Life in Adult Day Services-Judy’s Story were informative and inspiring. I am renewed and so excited about some of the new tools that I will bring back to my center.

Some of these new tools are small, but will be so effective for positive change. Dining at my center will be different and better for everyone. New activities that will be incorporated will bring a new level of engagement from the participants at my center. End of life issues and death preparation will not be as scary for me or my participants. Thanks to some simple but incredible tools acquired at these sessions.

If I could help another person like Judy was assisted by her ADC staff – WOW – how amazing that would be: I must admit with this fear that on paper person centered looked great, but to practice-quite difficult. Thanks to this experience, I realize I am already a provider of person centered care and that I can just do it better and more thoroughly.

I know more now and knowledge truly is power. Thanks so very much! A much needed renewal began at this conference and a center reformation will begin on Monday!

Thanks Again! Jennifer Murray – Resources for Seniors, Inc.

Dear NADSA:

It is helpful for our management team to see the impact our programs make, and hopefully it will help them continue to be willing to invest in important education and networking opportunities such as the NADSA conference.

Thank you very much!
