Great news! The U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee held a hearing this morning, where legislation to reauthorize the Older Americans Act (OAA) passed with full bipartisan support!

This achievement is a huge milestone, since the OAA has not been reauthorized since 2006. The bill (S. 1562) now awaits consideration by the full Senate, and we will keep you posted on its progress. While the OAA still has a long way to go, passing the HELP Committee is a major move forward.

Many thanks to all of you who communicated your support for this important bill!
