The Restorative Life Enrichment program at Benevilla is one of their six adult day centers that features specialized programming to meet specific needs – from memory care, to physical therapy, stroke survivors, and Parkinson’s members. Members benefit from a “person-centered care” philosophy and the support they need, while caregivers receive the resources they need to energize themselves. Person-centered care extends beyond daily care at this CARF® accredited center to provide restorative, speech, and occupational therapy for persons recovering from a stroke, injury, Parkinson’s, or other physical challenges requiring physical therapy. The focus of restorative therapy is on each person’s potential rather than on a diagnosis or limitations. By creating a team approach of personalized, short-term, and achievable goals, members are encouraged to reach and maintain their highest level of function. A Physical Therapist does an initial assessment and every 6 months, and a registered nurse provides medical oversight. Visit this innovative center which also boasts a fantastic creative art program, integral interactions with the community, and intergenerational activities at another Benevilla center where there is a Child Care and Preschool onsite.

This exceptional program provides multiple levels of recreational programming with a focus on two specific populations: persons with dementia and younger adults with traumatic brain injuries. Their gym, spa and theater room are features in the center’s unique design. Activities include community re-entry and access skills, including routine outings, physical exercise for gross and fine motor skills, vocational and job training and restorative therapies which include music, art and movement. This relatively new facility opened 6.5 years ago when two centers merged, although the cumulative history of the centers spans over 30 years.
