The Alzheimer’s Association is accepting applications for the Center for Dementia Respite Innovation (CDRI) grant. The CDRI is a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to making respite service providers (Adult Day centers, in-home services, innovative models) more dementia-capable and provide the best person-centered care possible.
This winter, the CDRI will provide grants totaling $4 million to respite providers. Providers can learn more and apply at alz.org/CDRI. Applications are due on March 30th.

Want to open an Adult Day Center but not sure where to start? This webinar will provide first-hand advice from an experienced provider and consultant who opened her own center. She will give you an overview of the framework you need to start including business knowledge, planning and operational procedures, and setting your center up for sustainability. Presenter: Christina Vlosich is the Principal Consultant at ADS Consult LLC and Co-Founder of Family First Adult Day Services. As the principal consultant, Christina has written a policy & procedure manual for Adult Day Services and has help start ADS Centers throughout the United States. Christina’s accomplishments include Founding Member and current Board Member of OADHA (Ohio Adult Day Health Association), Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) through NCCDP, Certified Tai Chi Instructor, RESNA Certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP), Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and a Field Surveyor for a national accreditation organization. Christina presented NADSA webinars and in person sessions on “How to Open an Adult Day Center,” “Tai Chi as a Fall Prevention Program “ and “You Opened a Center Now What?.” Christina is the 2024 Project Editor for the NADSA Standard and Guidelines.
