NADSA has been selected as one of several organizations across the aging and disability networks to support the Aging and Disability Vaccination Collaborative which is led by USAging. The Aging and Disability Vaccination Collaborative will distribute funding to enable organizations across the aging and disability networks to perform an array of vaccination promotion activities. Organizations selected for funding will host community vaccine clinics, provide in-home vaccinations, provide transportation to vaccination sites, and will conduct outreach and education to older adults and people with disabilities among other activities. Local organizations, including Area Agencies on Aging, Centers for Independent Living and a broad range of aging and disability organizations, may apply to receive funding. USAging’s work on the Aging and Disability Vaccination Collaborative is funded through a grant from the U.S. Administration for Community Living.

Presenters: Sara Maloney serves as Director for the new Aging and Disability Vaccination Collaborative powered by USAging. She has been with USAging for almost a year and is excited to share about this opportunity. Prior to USAging, she worked in variety of capacities at the regional level and at community-based organizations, including adult day services which she often says is the best kept secret in the Aging Network. Sara is joined by Jennifer Hammer, Assistant Director for this new collaborative, who joined USAging this month. Jennifer also has extensive experience with working with older adults in a variety of different capacities, including senior move management and technology focused on helping older adults live well.
